The San Diego Sari Soiree - October 24, 2004
The best part about being a sari wallah is getting to commune with all the wonderful women who love textiles. There was much enthusiasm in the room - our host Mel Lions (the lucky only man present) was amazed at the ooh and aah level and suggested we record the sounds and put them on the site. Next time I promise. The group dynamic built up to a real frenzy, with the help on many cups of chai!

A group of very knowledgeable and enthusiastic is the best thing a sari wallah can wish for. Everyone enjoyed learning about the different styles and weaving centers.

There's nothing like seeing the sarees in person. This was the second one I showed to her and she knew it was the one!

Excited to be sharing my treasures!

After the sari show we all learned how to wrap sarees in different styles!
